The PB3124X8-4ESATA300 reference board maximizes the performance of four external Serial ATA (eSATA) ports, providing throughput performance of over 800 MB/s when used with SteelVine Storage Processors or industry standard SATA port multipliers. Built on the high-speed SiI 3124 SteelVine Controller, this reference design supports FISbased port multiplier switching and connects four external Serial ATA device ports to an 8 lane physical, 4x/8x electrical PCI-express host connection.
